I put in monthly investments in Philam Strategic Growth Fund (PSGF) as part of my long-term investments.  I also invested a small amount in Philam Bond Fund.

Like what I said in my previous posts, I don't time the market when I do cost-averaging.  I just continue to invest monthly whether the market is up or down.

News on the recent slump in the Philippine stock market don't bother me because I don't intend to withdraw anytime soon.

I just continue to invest month after month.....

Time to start your long-term goal and invest in mutual funds!

A mutual fund investment involves risk. The value of the fund may go up and down. Returns from this investment are not guaranteed by Philequity Management, Inc. Any gains or losses from the investment are solely for the account of the investor. Past performance is not necessarily a guide to future performance. A mutual fund is not a deposit product and is not insured with the Philippine Deposit Insurance Corporation (PDIC).

I invest in Philequity Fund, an equity fund, by giving monthly investments. This is called peso cost averaging.  I don't time the market.  It doesn't matter whether the price is up or down.  I just give monthly because I plan to withdraw my fund in the next 15 to 20 years.

I also made a one-time investment last year when the market was still down in the same fund.  So far, I'm happy with my investments.  I am never tempted to withdraw them because of my long-term financial objective.  My small monthly investments will become millions when I retire.  Isn't that worth waiting for?

Intro To Mutual Fund Companies

I would like to share some information on mutual fund companies that I personally invest in.
There are a total of 44 mutual funds in the country.  Twenty-one (21) of these are bond funds, nine (9) are equity funds, nine (9) are balanced funds while the remaining five (5) are money market funds.

See MUTUAL FUNDNESS to know the different features of each fund.

I will feature four major mutual fund companies here in my blog.
